This by far was one of the most glamorous event I have attended. The reboot/debut of The Renaissance Hotel in NYC was beyond what I expected. As you can see by the photo they had lots of beautiful lights. I personally have a thing for lights so I was in heaven.
Not only were there amazing lights but there were 2 photo booths, an all night open bar and some bomb ass finger food being passed about by some very pretty people. I tried to take a good picture of the corn but it almost fell and I needed to save it with my mouth.
The music duo The Knock who I ran into at another event *we’ve never met* played a dj set that got the crowd moving. It was so much going on I think everyone was happy with that but then they brought out the legend Wyclef Jean. He did his thing!!!! He sang his hits, play his guitar and piano, jumped off stage into the crowd, sang and jumped around with us, DJayed and danced with a very cute elderly photographer (I felt it was passed her bedtime). Overall I had an AMAZEBALL time!
*Gotta love his shit*
As per usual check the snap: Inattendance & the new Instagram @In_Attendance for entertainment before the main post. Enjoy
Get Gimme Da Light!!!! The Day & Night Experience courtesy of Grand Marnier was as the kids say it LIT! There was good food, great looking people and of course AMAZING MUSIC.
That evening began with one of their three signature cocktails: The Perfect Storm, grand Raspberry Peach Spiked Lemonade and Grand Old Fashion…I drank them in that order lol. Then came the legend Sean Paul to the stage. He was everything I imagined. Just as much energy as his videos.
We all sang along, jumped and wined to every song. After mister Dutty Paul was done the party wasn’t over. The Knocks took the stage. Sadly I couldn’t stay for their performance but I knew it wouldn’t be the last time I see them.
Grand Marnier gave one of the best days ever and I look forward to more just like this one.
As usual check the snapchat Inattendance & just for the blog Instagram: @In_Attendance
I call it a great day when someone else cares about my period just as much as I hate having one. Points to The Pop Up Period Shop. An idea created by a young lady named Sarah M. She called for “A space where we can feel comfortable and respected during an otherwise shifty time of the month”. And what a great I idea it was!
The place felt welcoming, comforting and filled with liners, pads and tampons.THANK YOU KOTEX!!!
There was ice cream, a photo both, comfy couches, an artistic tampons hanging from the ceiling, cool nail art, a collection of clothing showing periods some love, a DJ and a wall of chocolate…A fucking wall of chocolate!!!
I honestly didn’t want to leave and I could have stayed but another adventure called. If I’m correct it’s a traveling pop-up shop so look for then in a town, city or area.
I first seem Shamir on the stage singing along with Kitten. All artist that night were new to me but when he appear I stood there wondering who is he…Cut to recently, courtesy of Samsung, I had the chance to see him again this time performing all of his own original material. I know longer questioned who he was.
Shamir performed songs from his new soon to be released album Ratchet and I must say everything that he presented was awesome. Literally every song he sang from his album had people dancing in there seats or singing along. I describe his music as a mix of pop, house, groove and happy…And who do like happy!?! Without even knowing it I already knew one of his song, which was great because I could actually sing along properly lol.
He let us into his world for the night and it was awesome. When you get a chance check out some of his music videos. They are very animated, colorful & he even got turned into a puppet.
Check him out when you get a chance and as always check the Snapchat: Inattendance and the new Instagram just for the blog @in_attendance . I post pictures a lot faster on there lol. ENJOY!
