Daycation #1

When you need a getaway…Get Away!
My new motto for 2016 and that’s exactly what I did. My friend and I took a daycation *going out of town for literally one day* to Miami, Florida. I got a decent amount of flack when I spread the word of said trip and most people were like “why for just one day?, that’s stupid, that’s expensive, blah blah blah….”. The plane ticket round trip was only $69 bucks * Thanks Spirit* , I live in New York City and it’s cold here (at least for now), Florida’s beaches are cleaner than ours, plus I lost some weight so I felt like showing off a bit. That day’s adventure included taking an Uber to south beach (the plane landed in Fort Lauderdale), grabbing some food & drinks at Senior Frogs &
getting really drunk before 12pm and then laying out on the beach til it was time to go home. I played in the water like a kid & I enjoyed every bit of it. The SUN. The BEACH. The EYECANDY. It is all a great memory and I plan on doing it all again. For my next daycation I’m aiming to hit up New Orleans! Sadly I was to intoxicated to remember to take any actual pictures because I Snapchatted everything lol

Don’t forget to enjoy life, run with the bulls & check my snapchat for my random adventures! Inattendance

I’m an Adult Now!

Have you ever done something that made you feel like a grown up or do something of what you think an “older”  person would do. Well courtesy of the mayor (THANKS BLASIO!!!) all New York Residence have the option of getting something called an NYC ID which grants you access to museums, social events, discounts and all types of cool stuff. My lovely Ride or Die & I went to the much glorified MoMa. With ID’s in hand we now had unlimited access into the museum as well as a year long membership all for free!!! Fancy Adult Stuff Huh? It was our first time at MoMa so we were extremely excited. Not knowing what to expect, we went through multiple open doors, up and down escalators, walked many halls and turned secret corners and found some pretty cool stuff. We were able to see many pieces by famous artist such as Picasso, Andy Worhol, Kara Walker and Henri Matisse. Two areas of the museum stuck out to me the most. One was a 2 wall filled video game which required you to turn back and forth to see as your progressed through each leave. The other was a room with a  movie theater screen with an extremely bright life behind it . Now there was much meaning to this peace but it was by pass because it was the best light to take selfies in…Yeah I know it’s sad but I’m honest. We spent almost 15 mins in there just taking pics of ourselves and then posting to social media. Overall I was a fun experience and I an looking forward to the next museum we come up.

Pics of some entertaining pieces are below and as always check the Snapchat ☺

Really Jonas?!?!

I’ve been MIA for good reason or so I thought. I postponed all events (that cost money) because I was suppose to go to North Carolina for a week to celebrate my birthday. I had intentions on leaving the 22nd and returning the 27th. Mother Natures third cousin Jonas decided to come visit the east coast. Jonas visited North Carolina first making it impossible for me to leave NYC (they shut down the airport the night of the 21st). My flight was change 5 times within 2 days and of course they shut down NYC for a day as well. My life is a constant struggle. Like most New Yorkers weather doesn’t keep us down so I ventured into the snow a few times for a football game at the bar, a very tasty birthday and brunch with friends. New Yorkers LOVE brunch!!! The food was pretty good but just saying I was out in & survived blizzard of 2016 is even better.

SN: My birthday wasn’t “super de duper” because I didn’t have any backup plans but I made the best of it. Food makes everything better. LOL Don’t forget check the Snapchat : Inattendance

I Got A Feeling! *Wil.I.Am Voice*

So today, meaning in real time ☺ I made it to the Museum of Feelings. On its last day I waited 3 hours for about a 10-15 minutes walk through of this very small but cute, fully interactive Museum. Sponsored by Glade (yes they air freshener), there were scents, lights and beautiful colors everywhere. The installation explored the emotional connection to such feelings as calm, exhilarated, optimistic, carefree…all the happy feel good stuff. Each room partnered with scents to reflect its mood and your mood. They even had a smelling table & a store where you could purchase the exclusive emotional scents you smelled. Sadly all the ones I wanted were sold out 😑. Overall was it worth that 3 hour wait you may ask: YES! Knowing that I will probably never experienced anything like that ever again it was totally worth. Also knowing that it was a pop up Museum and probably will never appear any where again it was all worth it.

(Big Shout Out to Mother Nature for not providing us with 20 below freezing weather while waiting)

Playstation Experience 2015

Games, games, & more games!!! This was my first PSX (this is only their second one) and it was great. Tons of people, stickers, buttons, camera and of course PS4s. The much anticipated PlayStation VR was on show with many demos on hand. I was able to get my hands on a VR demo called Job Simulator which just mimic the daily operations at a job like making coffee, throwing sugar, and ripping paper ya know the normal. It was pretty fun having the option to look around and grab thing while actually seeing your hands. The crowds roared with excitement for the remakes of Final Fantasy 7 which looked AMAZING, with new combat styles & weapons. Ratchet & Clank will also be getting a remake which will include new boss battles, weapons, as well as a movies too.

The Street Fighter 5 special character was finally revealed who’s name is Fang. Yakuza (the game I never played but love) will have a part 5 and will be coming to PS3 & Yakuza Zero will be coming to the PS4. Sadly many games featured at PSX won’t be released till next year but luckily attendees get access to the betas of many of the games such as Kill Strain *loved it*, Dead Star, World of Tanks *Awesome*, Fat Princess and much more. YAY!!!  Now being the gamer that I am I tend to play more indie games, which is what I spent most of my time doing. One game which I originally seen at Indie Cade in NYC was EarthNight. In the game you play as either  Sydney (14yr high school girl) or Stanley  (freelance photographer) to save the earth which has been taken over by Dragons…I know right…that’s deep. Its beyond beautiful to look at and very fun to play.

My new fave game which I’m look forward to owning is Tumblestone. Its a match 3 puzzle game *I LOVE PUZZLE GAMES*. Both multilayer & solo will be available when released and on multiple platforms as well. Klaus is about an office worker who wakes up in a basement with amnesia, imprisoned in a world of mechanics looking for a way out. He’s an adorable lil character and the gets more challenging as you move along. I think I was in the 3rd chapter and got stuck…but I love a challenge! Life Goes On: Done to Death was a unique game: Kill yourself in order to reach the goal. Well of course not just die but to kill yourself to strategically to help you get to the other side but your dead self help you in special ways.

A tetris-ish game called Tricky Towers where you build a tower with tetris pieces up to beat your opponent in a race. I beat every stranger that challenge me lol. There Came An Echo is a voice control thriller/shooter which worked pretty well give the amount of noise in the convention center. Sadly I didn’t get to play is long as I wanted because they started their daily giveaways of which I didn’t win any. Now from SKA Studios also known for the Dishwasher games as well as Charlie Murder, will soon bless us with Salt and Sanctuary. Salt and Sanctuary is a hardcore RPG with full character customization, multiplayer interaction, hidden shortcuts, powerful bosses and of course some bad ass music as they always provide. The game has a dark undertone like most of their games which one let’s you know it’s a SKA game, secondly set it a part style wise from anything else *double bonus awesomeness* and third keep you invested to see what’s coming next.

Con Life!!!

Its all over now (sheds tears of sadness)!!! New York Comic Con has come & gone but the photos we shall all remember. I was only able to attend for one day but it was good. Over the years NYCC has changed drastically for the great, bad & missed reasons. I have been attending the con/festival since before they added the Anime Festival & somehow made it disappear. It was originally for comic book lovers then added in a big dose of pop culture then BOOM!!! Once upon a time NYCC was not advertised pretty much anywhere, and if you just knew about it, you were in the know and if you went, it was awesome. At that time there were much more breathing/walking room, more video games, better panels, anime in more than one place, an extremely wide variety of cosplay etc…. There is so much I miss but from where they took they have added. Presenting: SUPER WEEK. Along with NYCC (which is now 4 days long: more things for people to miss if they don’t get a 4 day pass which is hard ass hell due to the mass amount of pass thieves & that stupid ass que they have invented ) Super Week is extra panels, parties & after parties, tv/movie viewings, meet the creators and even concerts. This gives everyone who couldn’t score a pass the option to still participate in all the awesomeness the con has to offer. Next year I plan on taking off the whole weekend to get the full effect of NYCC & Super Week  like I used to do, as well as cosplay (oh how I miss this too). Below are a few pics but check out the rest HERE & enjoy!!!

Waitlisted or Nah?!

God bless the company 1Iota for providing fans with the opportunity to attend shows & concerts for free. So like the title says (obviously) I was waitlisted and not just for anything, but The Walking Dead Fan Premire. Magicly I was no longer on the waiting list the morning of the event (YAY!!!) and it was amazeballz times 10 plus 100. First they gave us a Walking Dead landyard with tattoos, let us watch the first episode of season 6 and brought out cast members past & present for Q&A. Of course the main cast was there (and the whole entire crew who makes the show happen: Thank You Guys!!!) but one of the best moments for me was when they brought my fav Shane, his sexy self. The cast played games, watched blooper reels and even looked at a few baby pictures (Aww so cute). Now seeing as how I have never had the chance to attend a panel for it at Comic Con this made up for everything. I can truly say that it was one for best moments of 2015 for me. I would love to tell ya all about the goods of the show but I sign a NDA so you’ll just have to watch with the rest of the world. Thanks again to 1Iota, you make my life more eventful. Don’t forget to follow my Snapchat: Inattendance for all the live action at these events
