Pretty itty bitty little thing called butterflies where the main inspiration of this seasons collection by Polly Ho of Loom Loop. Butterflies printed everything from maxi dresses to leggings and even trench coats.I felt the head piece and eye glasses worn added an extra bit of edge to it.I thought this collection was very visually stimulating. Enjoy!
Yes I Am Late…But it’s Fashion Week somewhere in the world.
I call it pure SEXY!!! There’s something about black leather that’s just sexy period. Yohanix by Tae-keun Kim is a collection comprised of all sorts of lovely goodies. I loved, loved, LOVED the leather skirts: particularly this little number right below.
I think zippers are the new IT add-on to clothing because there was no shortage of them here. Zipper placement was key from turning a very beautiful detailed pencil skirt for maybe the work place into a super sexy skirt exposing as much thigh meat as you personally could handle for a night out on the town. There were so many pieces that I would totally snatch like the leather moto jacket with fur sleeves, a black textured trench coat w/ belt and especially the black socks with gold pom poms. I could go on & on but I will let the pictures to the talking. Enjoy!!!
Metallic Make Way
Coppers, Golds & Silvers Oh My!!! Son Jung Wan has given metallic a new life. Not to bright, not to dull, and just bold enough. This was the first show that I went to that had men walk (I have been to 4 shows before this one). The collection was made up of shorts, skirts, dresses, & pretty tops. If only I had the money I would be beyond fab everyday in the hood (I live in Brownsville :Google it). I loved it all!!! For more fashion week coverage (yes I know Im a bit late) check out Fashion Nexus by Shannon Moody who was wonderful enough to provide me access to these amazeball shows. Enjoy it all 😀
Fall & Heart
Kelly Cutrone said Hi to me!!!! Well it was more like “Hi Guys” but it was only 4 of us standing there & I was part of said 4 so yeah, put that in you pocket! To me Francesca’s collection screamed “I’m ready for Fall”. Black and orange were the main colors of her pieces along with bits of cream, white, burgundy & glittered anatomically correct hearts. Sheer fabrics & cut outs exposed skin, long coats & dresses covered it up and all the while giving you pure sexy but classy. Power to the Body! As normal pics are below & check out the blog of the lovely Shannon Moody: Fashion Nexus ,who provided me with access to the amazing shows I attended.
You felt the vibe and the heat as soon as you walked into the show room (it was hot in there). Beautiful girls dawned in bright colors, monochrome, light fabrics, and fans 😆 (ok it’s was really hot in there). This collection was very feminine with dresses & ruffles & pretty colors. (NOTE: I love going to fashion week and enjoy just like looking at clothes and imagining that one day I can afford to wear the really expensive stuff.) Since I am far from a fashion expert and love photographing it, I leave all of the word play up to the love Shannon Moody, who is the creator & blogger of Fashion Nexus. She provided my with the access to the shows I attended on her behalf. So I shall leave the photos below & go check out her blog you beautiful people.
I got a chance to attend Roar: Broadway Sings for Pride 5th Annual Gay Pride Charity Concert to benefit The Tyler Clements Foundation. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Over 10 performances and special guest with the likes of Dasha Polanco of OTNB, Isis King from ANTM, Jinkx Monsoon from RPDR & Frenchie Davis from American Idol AND the reunion of both A Chorus Line & Rent, how could it not be AMAZING!!! On & off Broadway stars from the like of shows such as Aladdin, Legally Blonde, Avenue Q, Jersey Boys, Finding Never-land & many more, came to show support for such a great cause. I felt like a big ass kid sitting there watching it all because I have been to a few plays but the capabilities of all the actresses & actors performing in such an abundance was mind blowing. You can find more pictures I took of the even HERE!!!
To find out more visit Broadway Sings for Pride for more information on how to suppose a great cause & charity.
